Workers of the Department are involved in teaching of students (both intra - and extra - mural) in two study directions: Environmental Engineering and Environmental Protection. There are two specialities within the former one:
· Reclamation and development of agricultural environment
· Water and sanitary engineering
The Department covers predominantly the latter speciality. The part connected with water engineering is co-ordinated by dr hab. Tomasz Kałuża, and the sanitation - by prof. R. Błażejewski.

All subjects are taught in Polish. One new subject "Wastewater engineering in rural areas" is provided in English for "Erasmus - Socrates" students.
