Since November 2024, colleagues from the Estonian University of Life Sciences have been organizing regular meetings at Tartu Nature House to promote knowledge about the Greater Spotted Eagle and the LIFE GSELIFEAboveBorders project. Eight rounds have been planned with questions related to the environment, wildlife and Greater Spotted Eagles but surprise questions from other areas may also be included.
Forty people, including several children, participated in the first round. Teams of up to six members compete to have a challenge to answer 30 questions displayed on the screen in limited time.
To introduce and systematize knowledge, a short 10-minute lecture about the project and nature issues is held before each round of the quiz.
The quiz is led and the questions are prepared by Urmas Abel who is an experienced ecologist and member of our project team. The photos clearly show that the atmosphere during the first meeting was very good and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to the winners of this and subsequent editions!
